ST. ANNA'S MEDICAL MISSION
Our Staff
Fr. Bill Terry is the Rector of St. Anna's Church and is the one who grew the notion of a Medical Unit in its early days.
The Medical Mission is run by Diana Meyers, a registered nurse, who holds the title of Community Wellness Director St. Anna's Church.
Our Medical Director is Ben Springgate, M.D., MPH, an Internist and Pediatrician and public health researcher working with UCLA, Tulane, and RAND. A native New Orleanian and Tulane University School of Medicine graduate, Ben was instrumental in bringing medical care to New Orleans in the initial days and weeks post Katrina.
Celeste Lewis, RN is the Mobile Unit Coordinator and handles day-to-day operations of the mobile unit.
John Montgomery, Care Manager, assists with the mental health portion of our program by coordinating care of clients being seen or looking for counseling services.
Yvonne King is our Outreach Coordinator, making sure the community is aware of our programs, clinics and services.
Volunteer doctors, nurses and social workers (local and out-of-state) are used to staff the unit, as well as non-medical personnel to assist with registration, when available. We may also have a Deacon or Priest with the unit to provide spiritual support.
